A new restaurant opening up locally to me wanted a brand creating for them that reflected the quality and heritage of their Italian menu. Fortunately a friend of a friend pointed the owner in my direction to sort out the restaurant's image so they knew from my previous work that they could leave me to it.
I started the project by researching the name which turned out to be in reference to an old cave town in Italy. After viewing some images I knew that I wanted to include this and instantly give a rich quality to the restaurant branding. There's a feeling of authenticity that comes with using the old town image along with a distressed background, to give the idea that the recipes behind the menu come from a respected source.
My experience with print and digital formats means that I was able to look after them from start to finish and answer any artwork questions they had. All of this led to a restaurant opening with an already established brand that was backed up with imagery from my photography and a website.
